I love bananas and as a kid in St. Louis, it was the most exotic fruit I encountered.
The ones we have are made for export and travel and in central America there are all sorts of different, more delicate ones that don't travel well. I liked the little pink ones.
Of the ones in the market, I like them totally ripe, with freckles.
That is when they are the sweetest and easier to digest.

I like bananas but they're getting hard to come by without getting ripped off. How much does everyone pay for bananas? Generally they're 90 cents a pound here and 3 pounds to a bunch, when they're on sale for 40 cents that's when I usually get them but that's rare.

They're yummy. I don't eat them too often though.
