| If you knew for certain that someone was in the U.S. illegally, would you report them or not get involved? | |

| I have known a few co-workers (not very well) that have been illegal, but didn't find out until after the fact that I heard they have been deported. Had I known before hand that they were illegal, I wouldn't get involved. | |

| I was almost afraid to open this one, since illegal immigration is one of my biggest agendas.
If I was going to report everyone I knew or suspected was illegal, I'd be on the phone constantly. So I'd have to say 'no'.

| Unless I knew they were scamming the system I probably would live and let live. | |

| I'll have to admit, I've been tempted to with a family in our neighborhood. For many years they were nothing but trouble ~ one son in prison for rape, another son in prison for gang involvement, and now the father is in prison for drugs and will be deported upon release. Don't know if the two sons are in prison again or what, but it's been peaceful. Also, they had vicious rottweilers that were always breaking loose and causing BIG problems (we assume for gang protection). After numerous stiff fines the dogs are gone.
The baby of the family, a third son, was just a boy when they moved in and we always liked him and hoped he wouldn't fall into the same trap. Do not know if he was born here or not. But he has grown in to an impressive young man and has managed to avoid the same fate.

| In California if you reported every illegal immigrant you would never get anything else done. There are things that do upset me, they live off the system that we pay in taxes. The ratio of legal citizens who get in trouble is way less than half than the people who are here illegally. Would I turn someone in, no, unless they were involved in a criminal activity. | |

| Only way I'd get involved is if their presence was in some way a nuisance to me. Otherwise, I would mind my business. | |
