My dad only gets about three channels and all weekend whatever channel we had on was advertising the honoring of Meryl Streep at the Kennedy Center Honors thing. I don't get it. I never knew what was so special about her. I never bought into any hype about her. I think she is funny looking. Though I think she was in at least one movie I liked her in.

Even as a child I couldn't stand Joan Crawford, something about her gave me the willies. Nothing changed as I grew older then well after I was grown Mommie Dearest came out apparently I was sensing her true character when I was terribly young. There are other celebs that I am not impressed by for one reason or another but Crawford stands out in my mind because I just plain disliked her.
