From what I've read, the transition to online has been more difficult and clumsy for AMC than it has been for OLTL; the latest rumors are that they may be benching AMC. Which, IMO, is bad for OLTL. I really get the feeling that in order for either show to thrive online, the other needs to there to feed off each other.

I don't think OLTL needs AMC. OLTL has it's own fans and it seems to be holding it's own without AMC right now.

I haven't liked AMC for many years, but I hope PP comes together and airs it for it's fans sake.

I hope that PP does eventually get AMC going without Lucci which seems to be the main hold up. I think OLTL has a big enough fan base to carry itself as it is doing now on ABC. The only drawback on having it online is of course the older people that do not have computers and they make up a big portion of the OLTL fan base.

I'd feel bad for AMC fans if their show wound up not making it, but I don't think OLTL needs AMC to make it or vice versa. The story I heard is that production on AMC is being delayed because they have had a harder time luring cast members. When Susan Lucci didn't agree to stay on, many of the others didn't either. So now they're negotiating so that they won't have to launch with all recasts.
