Something I don't understand about a solution a local tavern has to bar fights

I hope someone can explain to me how this solution is an actual solution...

A local bar has been in hot water due to fighting happening inside and outside. The problem made the newspaper. The solution offered by owners is to stop serving high end liquor.

If there is logic to this, it is lost on me. I think, if anything, the opposite would be true...stop serving the cheap stuff that the fighters can afford. I don't see how someone drinking call liquor would be the type to fight (generally).

I say just put them out.

Yup, stop serving them rowdy ass customers, doesn't matter what you serve them.

Yep. They need a bouncer. I know I won't be going there if all they have is cheap liquor.

I agree that patrons who can't hold their liquor without throwing chairs and bottles need to be escorted out immediately. The bar becomes liable if they allow the melee to continue.
