Trophy in some cases, but if it's a significant amount of money then I'd opt for that.

A trophy (if it's big) is nice, but I'd prefer a cash reward.

If it is not a significant amount of money it will just go like all money does and there will be no lasting acknowledgement of the event.

Money but I would appreciate a trophy too. Money will eventually be spent, but a trophy will be a long time reminder of the feat.
