Well I like old movies and silent movies and if I find out the theater or the college is showing something for the silent film festival and it doesn't cost anything, I go to those and have a good time.
There also used to be free military concerts and free magic shows to attend here but that was a few years ago, now everything costs, and boy DOES it cost.
And if I'm looking for a new movie to watch (I know, I'm a very boring person), instead of going down to the video store where it's $4 a movie and you have no guarantee the DVD will work right anyway, I check out the library becaue they do get in some of the current movies and if they don't have it they can usually get it in, and it doesn't cost anything, and I really like that because we watch a lot of movies.

I love hiking or walking along the water. Also love reading - visiting the library. Hiking would be my top choice, though.

There are always things to do at the library. Lecutres, movie and book rentals, classes...
Also, a lot of museums do have a free day or evening per month.
Another money saving idea I like is to do little mini redorating around the house swapping out decor or moving things around. It gives me a new fresh look without spending any money.
Coffee shops often have feebie music, as do a lot of churches.
