How archaic - and romantic. Yes, some ppl have the capacity to love someone by their words alone, or more basely by their appearance alone. I guess it flourished in the letter writing days.
I have a love for a young man from Wales. I have followed his life on MySpace & now Facebook and tho he has a significant other (and a child) that love is there for the person - thru his words and of course his cute pics. I have never met him, never heard his voice but there is an affinity I have for him.

I don't think so, no. You have to actually know someone to love them IMO. Otherwise it's just an obsessive crush.
