Do you believe that online meetings can lead to productive intimate relationships? Is the internet the "bar scene" of the 80s where you can meet people and date with a possible future, or do you believe that online dating is just a casual thing with no potential?

Would you meet someone from a craigslist ad and expect a possible future? or just hope for a good hook up?

My bf and I met online and we weren't really looking for relationships. It just kinda happened. Even though I don't like explaining to people how we met (especially my parents cuz they just don't get it), our relationship isn't too much different from people who met elsewhere.

I been to them before and met some people from them but those relationships usually dont last long for me.

I have a very close friend who I met in the forum I was in before this one, and without going into detail, all I'll say is that the feeling is mutual that we both agree that life would be drastically different if we'd met some 25 years ago. Sometimes you miss meeting the person you were supposed to meet, for whatever reason, but there's also second chances, too, I believe.
