Relocating for work? Empty Relocating for work?

With talk of the post office closing down buildings, there is much talk that I will probably have to transfer. They can send me as far as 750 miles away.

Would you relocate for a job? If so, is there a limit to the distance you would go? Would the salary need to be a certain amount?

What would be most important to me is that I'd be transferred to where I want to live. I wouldn't move to just anywhere, because I'm very picky about climate. In fact, I could never live in the east or midwest.

Absolutely, as long as it's a logical place to move (I ain't moving nowhere like South Dakota, Wisconsin, Louisiana, etc...I'm sure they're lovely places but uh, no). Considering I have no kids and no real reason to stay where I am other than family and friends, I would consider it an adventure.

Salary will play a big factor on me to consider it.

If it was worth it I would but they gotta give me a big enough bonus and salary increase to accommodate the move.

If the position was sweet enough and the location was desirable, I would love to.

Our unemployment is so bad, just having a job would make it worth moving. My daughter has been out of work for 2 years and was considering moving across the state for a potential job. She would be living in a shared apartment and commuting on weekends back to the East Coast.

Ppl have to do that in a Depression (Yeah, I'll call it what it is)
