What annoys you most about the holiday season?

Nothing much. It's just another season. I'm an adult now, I don't get giddy for Christmas. That shit is for the kids.

Not enough time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. And I don't like going out in the weather to do my running around.

I don't like how it is so centered around materialism and running around like mad to fit everyone in.

I wasn't going to say anything because I totally do not get into all the festivities of Xmas and didn't want to appear as a Scrooge. But to me the focus is a quantum leap removed from "Christ's Mass"

It is no longer a Holy Day, but an entirely commercial holiday.

Too commercial. It also seems like the spirit of Christmas has drained out of a lot of families and now its just a burden to have to prepare for it.

Not true. Churches still fill on Christmas, families of faith still recognize the reason for their celebrations, and the good will of the season reaps charities of all kinds.

Yes, there is a lot of commercialism but it isn't anything new. In the old "Miracle On 34th Street" movie many complaints are made about commercialism, and that movie was filmed in 1947 ~ before you and I were even born.

The stress it puts on people, though I suppose that's a matter of them stepping in their own quicksand. Also, we have about a month to get ready for it, which ought to be plenty of time, but it still seems to go by in a whir and even more so for when the actual day occurs.

This year? Everything annoys me.

It's so over commercialized and it seems like everyone wants the most presents or to give as many out as possible to impress others..

The fact that it comes every freakin' year instead of bi-annually to give us all a break in between.

I love the holidays. Down here, it's usually a big non stop party from Halloween until Easter. That being said I hate the friggin traffic!!!!
