    When you were a kid, where you ever able to manipulate your parents into allowing you to do what they didn't want you to (or throw them off the trail when you were up to something that they wouldn't approve of?)

    Not nearly as well as so many other children seem able to. My dad was a lot softer to manipulate than my mom.

    I could manipulate them to throw them off the trail of something I wasn't supposed to be doing.....but when my folks said something, that was pretty much it. I didn't try much to talk them out of it.

    My parents were drunks who were out of it a lot, so it wasn't that hard nor did it involve much trickery.
