How do you feel about medicine?

Are you the type of person who goes straight to the medicine cabinet for every little ache/pain/sniffle or are you the type of person who has to be really sick before bothering to take medicine?

I'd have to be really sick.

I have to be really sick to hit the meds.

Ibuprofen is the only thing I take for minor things, everything else pretty much waits until I feel like crap.

You're all lucky. I'm on a lot of lilfe-sustaining medicines, and also use a lot of Advil. I can choose to suffer pain or just avoid them but I don't handle certain pain that well.

Gratefully, I don't have the allergy problems that so many other people do, so I don't take those, not even for the short hay-fever spurts I get.

If I need it, I'm taking it. I hardly ever get sick though....*knock on wood*.

I'm paranoid about being sick....as soon as I sense that something could be wrong, I pop a pill.

I have to take meds for a chronic illness I have. But I always read the inserts that come with them and I look on the Internet for information.

If I see something I don't like I will bring it up to my doctor(s)to see if there is an alternative or whether or not I really have to take it. Some docs don't pay attention to the fact the for some medications, the treatment is worse than the illness.

I also take vitamins and an Ayurvedic medication that work better for me for some things than regular prescribed meds.

Yup I dont wait. I take something as soon as I feel funny.

I've been called a pill popper...only because I normally take 3 ibuprofren (sp) every 4 hours when I have cramps. This is usually for a day or two but it scares everyone who watches me do it, they think I'm trying to kill myself or something.
