If your teenage child was dating someone who you didn't approve of and you forbade the relationship, but they defied your orders and continued to see their lover anyway, would you consider sending them away to school? Do you think that school abroad should be used for such measures?

Not for this reason ~ not unless you're sending them overseas. But I do believe in boarding schools for other problematic reasons.

Boarding schools are too expensive for such pettiness. The biggest thing to come from this would be the complete destruction of the parent-child relationship with the kid resenting the parent well into adulthood for having done that. And in the age of technology and viral communication we're in, chances are they would still find a way to interact with each other.

I think that would be dumb. Just tell them to stop and if they dont listen then punish.
