Do you have a fav hotel/motel chain that you stay at while traveling?

I have a tendency to stay at hiltons, and when not available Hampton Inns

I/We do chains only on road trips. One time we did stay at a Motel 8 in San Francisco for a week because it was a lot more affordable than anywhere else. I know that Motel 6 and Travelodge type places have an iffy reputation, but my worst lodging experiences were at non-chains.

    Comfort Inn is usually okay.

I have stayed at Hiltons, Embassy Suites, Days Inn, DoubleTree, Marriott and some others but I tend to look for the DoubleTree when I am reserving a hotel. They give you a warm chocolate chip cookie upon your arrival that is to die for! One trip I talked the girl into giving me 3 more and boy did I ever get sick on a sugar high LOL 4 large chocolate chip cookies, down the hatch in one eating!

I stay wherever its comfortable and reasonable. However, I will say that the Hyatt is the nicest one I've stayed it. The Hilton is cool too.
