Mashed for white potatoes. I like sweet potatoes either way.

I'd take baked over mashed but love both especially if white pepper gravy comes with the mashed.

Baked: with butter, pepper, cheese melted on top!!
Mashed: mix in some sour cream, ranch dressing, minced onions, with gravy!!

It does annoy me when I go to a restaurant & they don't even have baked potatoes.
