I think I taught myself - it's been so long can't really remember. It was in the 'burbs, all the kids had bikes and it was second nature to be riding.

My dad
I was five, had training wheels, my bike was pink and white, and my hair was JACKED. Sure wish mom had worked some magic for my "first bike ride" pics!

I guess I was about 6 or 7. I still remember my father running along side holding on to the seat as I'm peddling my ass off. Next thing I know I look over and he ain't there. He looked like he was about a half mile behind me (probably more like 50 ft.)

I can recall the exact time and place I rode sans training wheels the first time. Not sure how old I was. It was my parents' friends' daughter teaching me.

I wasn't allowed a bike, because of poor eyesight and a habit of going double speed at everything I did. My Grandparents were afraid I would kill myself very quickly if I had a bike. A friend loaned me her bike one day and I rode it home from school for lunch. I think I was about 9 or 10, I got yelled at , and rode the bike back to my friend. I just learned by doing because I had never been on a bike before that.
