Did you watch A Different World?

Yes, and still do. I hadn't seen since it first started airing way back, the re-runs that are showing now, are helping a lot to refresh my memory. Still a funny show.

Of course I did. Great show.

Liked it better than Cosby.

I like it a lot and still record it once in a while. I adore Kadeem Hardison. But I can't stand the character of Whitley. I think she could have been written much better.

Eh. It was a good show that had its moments, and I watched it regularly enough for a few years, but it was never one of my FAVORITES and after a while my viewing became spotty.

I think what killed it for me was when The Simpsons started coming on opposite Cosby. I chose the Simpsons. And when I turned from Cosby, I didn't turn back at 8:30 for ADW.

I liked it up until Dwayne and Whitley got married and suddenly the original college cast transformed into these more "adult" mentors and authority figures to the newer college students. It lost its luster then. But I will say that it was a MUCH better show after Lisa Bonet left. Prissy Denise Huxtable did not fit in with them.
