Airplane pilots carrying guns

Back in 2002, the House voted to allow pilots to carry guns in the cockpit. Do you think that this is something they should do?

I don't think it should be limited to the pilots.

I'd be MORE comfortable knowing that they did actually.

Eh, I think it was just a reflex measure. In the long run, it's prob. not a good idea or even necessary. So many scenarios could happen with that. There are security measures that makes is difficult for a gun or any other weapon to get on the plane by a passenger. So why do you need to carry? What if you get a passenger who overpowers you and takes the gun from you? And add the fact that the cockpits are locked during the entire flight. Nobody is going to bum rush the cockpit. It's not necessary. And do you know that pilot are allowed to drink before a flight? And you want to add a firearm in the mix? LOL. Nah.

but yeah, let them have the gun. Many are former military and know how to use them properly. Training on use of the weapon would be necessary... but i like the idea of having armed air marshalls undercover during the flight, just in case
