At any point while living with your parents, did you ever have to pay them rent? If you have any working children who lived with you, did you have them pay?

Yea, in my 20's, after moving back in, I helped out with rent and certain bills.

Never had to pay rent. I just paid the electric and cable bill.

My parents charged me rent as soon as I started working as a teen--they took 25% of whatever my take-home pay was after taxes, and I was only working because they told me that if I wanted to go to college, to get a job and pay for it myself. So I did, and at least I don't owe them anything. I do think it was wrong of them to take the rent money, especially where I was working 2 jobs to pay my own way that they refused to do in the first place.

I lived rent free at home until graduating from HS. Three days later I was living rent free at Lackland AFB in San Antonio TX. Well, they expected me to do what they said at that place - but they fed me too.
