Do any of you guys use battery rechargers?

Yes. I have a AA battery recharger that I use for the batteries in my electric shaver, digital camera, remote controls and optical mice.

I've thought about getting them. Not sure if they last longer or if it's cheaper overall to use them.

The batteries themselves are more expensive (plus you have to buy the charger itself). Sometimes they come with one, sometimes not. But in the long run they end up being much cheaper, especially if you use the same size batteries frequently. The average non-rechargable AA battery is about 1.5 volts and the average rechargable AA is about 1.25 volts. Because they have a slightly smaller charge than an equivelant sized, non-rechargable, they don't last quite as long (about 75% as long as a non-rechargable). However, since you can recharge them over and over again, they end up lasting much longer overall. In my opinion, if you use them frequently it's definetely worth the investment.

Yes I do. In the long run, it pays for itself many times over.

I just put mine in the freezer.

I agree with this. They are worth the investment.

Never had one, but something to consider.
