If I had to spend it on jewelry for myself, probably a watch.

IDK, whatever was the first things I could see, then go out and sell them or give them away.
I don't wear jewelry except for a stainless steel chain on my neck and a blue topaz stud in my ear.

I don't know if I could bring myself to spend $1000 on jewelry for myself, even if it was free---my practical side always wins over everything else, and I'd be thinking of all the other things I could do or bills I could pay with that money. I guess I need to lighten up, though, and maybe I'd spend it on multiple pieces of jewelry that aren't too expensive, keep a few pieces for myself, and consider my Christmas shopping done with the rest. . .. (so much for lightening up and ignoring practicality!! LOL)

So we need to make the question: "You are given $1000 and forced at gunpoint to buy a piece of jewellery for yourself."

Probably a ring of some type. Not into diamonds so it would have to be a metal that's shockingly expensive. Not sure...platinum or titanium maybe?

Titanium is expensive?
Wonder what my leg is worth?
Forget Titanium. It's only worth $40 a POUND. Guess they are not going to scrape up much extra money from me at the crematorium.

I like bands for rings. The wider the better, so I guess a wide sparkly band, and maybe earrings to match.
