If she kept the fact from him up until then I think there's an argument to be made that he should only have to pay from that point on but if it took her that long to track him down then maybe he's got some back payments to make too.

Once paternity has been established he should have to pay a fair amount. But not retroactively.

I think some paternity testing would be in order, first, to make sure the kid is really his, then if so, from the point of proven paternity, on, he should be responsible for contributing towards the child's upbringing, at least monitarily.

If the mother of the child withheld this from the father then, no, I don't think he should have to.

No back child support, but he should contribute from that point on. It's still his kid. Now if she did some sneaky shit, like injected herself with his sperm from a used condom, then no....she shouldn't get a dime.
