My middle and high schools are still open, but I believe the schools I attended from pre-K through grade 6 have all been shuttered.

I know my Junior High (now called Middle School) and High School are still there in St. Louis County because I visited them in 2010.
IDK about my grade school tho.

For sure my highschool is, and even bigger than before. I don't know about the grade schools or Jr Highs.

Isn't this modern age we live in swell?
I just checked on my first elementary school in St. Louis and it's still there, tho not a school any more. I can see it on Google Maps. Much changed since my childhood - as has the whole neighborhood. The last time I visited the place in 1988, all the old buildings on my block were razed as well as the ones across from Jackson School, which is why I could get far enuf back to get this pic.
I also found out the bldg was built in 1898. When I was a kid in the '50s there was a terrible fire in a Chicago school that killed some kids. It too was an old bldg with open stairwells (made a nice furnace draft) and my school was cited as a similar fire trap. Anyhow, it is now on the National Register of Historic Places (maybe 'cause it never burned down).

All mine are still around though the school I went to for sixth and seventh won't be around in ten years. It's cheaper to bus them to the main school in the district and they keep taking grades away from there. When I went there they had K-7. Now it is 1-5.
