Re: Chipping a tooth
Thankfully, never bad. I have a tiny chip on a canine tooth at the moment and am tempted to just smooth it myself. It is very tiny but feels so different in my mouth.

Re: Chipping a tooth
When I was a kid someone ran into me on a bicycle and both my front teeth had a big chip out of them. So, I went thru my entire adolescence not smiling with my mouth open. Got crowns put on in the Air Force in '66 one of which is still the original ceramic.

Not quite but one time I found out the exact moment I got a cavity because a piece of my tooth just fell out of my mouth and hit the floor.

Hey, that happened to me. Only I was in rural India. I found a dentist who did a good job cleaning out the hole and filling it with Mercury Amalgam, just like they have done since the 19th Century. Oh, here is actually the drill he used on me.
His assistant came in and worked the pedal and it ran like the low-speed electric drills more modern dentists used when I was a kid. When you are in the Third World you do third world medicine.

Yes I once chipped a bottom tooth on a fork and had it fixed the next week. That is something I am very meticulous about. I need my teeth to be as perfect as they can get.

Re: Chipping a tooth
I cracked my tooth unknowingly I guess a few months ago and that's why I had to have a root canal. It was cracked underneath the tooth, in the back of my mouth where you couldn't see it.
