Pills for Racism

I heard that scientists have discovered a link between people with high blood pressure also being racist and are proposing that pill can ease someone's racist attitudes the same way that a pill can help lower blood pressure. Do you think this is possible?

There have been studies over the years of the negative affects of perceived racism on the health of Black people (high blood pressure). Now this? I don't know about propranolol. This might be more effective all around.

I see this as grasping for straws. Being a racist, bigot, murder, rapist (wonder if this cluster was actually subconsciously created?) is implanted in ones brain and the only way to change that is to change their THINKING...I know a lot of people who stuff fried foods and have BP that is off the charts and they ain't no more racist than a non-fried food eater. Sometimes we just have to admit that people are the way they are because they want to be that way, you cannot fix everything with a blue or red pill.

Not buying a link. People have high blood pressure due to diet, smoking, stress & genetics. Some of that's controllable, some not. But even if they grow up in a racist atmosphere they're still racist by choice. Sounds like someone came into some grant money, did a bullshit study & drew an absurd conclusion.

And sadly, this foolishness is what our money is being spent on, when it could be put to better use, like buying textbooks and other school supplies, so we can keep kids in school, learning, and in the process, also learning how NOT to be racist by having to interact with their classmates, who just might happen to be different than they are, racially. Hmmm, novel concept. ..

Yeah right.
