    My belief is that we somehow get into another corporeal body somewhere, and most of us have no recollection of past lives. (Some cases where there was crossover memory - but for some reason we start with a clean slate of memory and start encountering new experiences)

    Well, since it IS a fact that energy doesn't die, I'm inclined to believe that your spirit, soul or whatever will still be present after you leave the body.
