I wasn't driving but I was a passenger when we ran over a rabbit . I would go out of my mind if I hit a dog or cat.

I did not hit a deer. A deer hit me.
A few years ago after my disdain for driving began, I was driving home from the local MX track and was going very slow on the county road because I disliked driving so much. A deer hit my front passenger side of the car by the light.
I was fine to drive it home and it would have cost much more had I not had a body guy do it for the cost of parts, which was over $200.

That happened to my sister in law years ago. She was on Rt 80 in the Poconos and a deer crashed through her driver's side window. It's hoof just missed running her through.

I hit a rabbit when I was 17. I was driving to my grandma's house and a lot of rabbits were always around. I was going a little fast and the rabbit was near my right front tire and it was too late to brake.

We hit a dog once, we were out in the country and the dog came out of nowhere. He then ran off. We tried to find the owner of the dog but to no avail. So someone got a wounded dog home and probably cussed us, but we did try.

I ran over a bird once and felt bad as silly as that might sound.
