I was a union member for one night years ago in college. I worked a temporary overnight shift at a newspaper plant. Talk about not doing an honest days work. I think I actually worked about 6 hours and got paid for about 12. Not 'cause I was lazy. Them was the union rules.

I worked for a while at the railroad in my youth - may have been on the Teamsters. Haven't been in any unions the rest of my working life.
