My mother and I have always been exact opposites, she has the straight hair and I have the naturally curly, and everybody's always told me how lucky I am to have it. Well when it was long it wasn't lucky, it was torture to maintain and simply to have, especially in the summer...now that it's all cut off I don't mind it so much but as a kid I desperately wanted straight hair like my mom's because I thought it would be thinner and wouldn't have NEAR the tangles in it mine did. Her motto has always been that you always want what you don't have and I suppose that's true otherwise I wouldn't have so many women telling me how lucky I am. What about you? Is your hair curly or straight and whichever one it is, would you rather have the other?

My hair is cool. I can wear it straight or curly.

Mine's a little of both. It was always wavy and frizzy, but then I lost it all to chemo, and since it's grown back in, it's actually straighter than it was before, but the ends are still curly.

I'm actually just glad to have hair, period, so I'll take however it is without complaint!

I never liked my natural curl when I was young. Now I love it. I have it short now and I am actually quite pleased with it these days.

I like my hair the way it is.
