In retrospect, who do you think was better/worse when it comes to the economy and job market: Bush or Obama?

Yep Bush, the country was sliding into a depression, jobs were at an all time low. Obama has done a good job considering what he had to work with.

Obama got stuck with a near depression Bush created, but because Obama couldn't fix it immediately he somehow became the blame. Yeah Obama was slower to turn it around than I would have expected, but when you inherit a crumbling system you have to stop the massive hemorrhaging before you can create a surplus.

Bottom line is that the country went to shit because of that unnecessary war with Iraq, which was inspired by the Bush family's odd rivalry with the Hussein's.

Obama is eons worse for the economy. Bush wasn't all that bad for the economy until the Crats took Congress. Then the economy started to slide and Obama has only made it worse. (But of course, the guy is blaming everybody BUT himself. After he gets done blaming the Supreme Court, maybe he'll blame our schoolkids for the bad economy. He's gotta cover all his bases. lol) And of course, going by my own life, Obama's definitely made our lives more economically difficult. (And since we're nowhere near even his definition of rich, I guess he doesn't really care about us afterall.) Obama's been a mess for the economy and all anybody can do is make excuses. (And of course, pretend like these fudged numbers of economic improvement are actually the whole picture.)

After the 2006 midterms the democrats won a majority but not a filibuster proof majority. So the republicans still ran roughshod over the democrats. Since Obama was elected the republicans have filibustered well over 100 times. Too bad they changed the rules while Bush was in office, now they don't have to actually filibuster, all they have to do is threaten and the democrats still don't have a filibuster proof house. After all Mitch McConnell said the republicans main issue was to get Obama out of office so to hell with the country, they have to get that black man out of the whitehouse!

It's funny how we'll blame the GOP for things that went on when they were a minority in both houses. lol So what that the Crats didn't have a filiproof majority. Neither did the GOP during the Bush Admin. The crats are just so good at playing the blame game. lol And Obama and the crats have gotten more than enough passed. No filibuster stopped them. (And for a year, they actually did have a filibuster proof majority but even within their own party, they were a wreck.)

The Crats like to blame the GOP for the bad economy but in reality, the bad economy follows the Democrats. (and to a point, the weaker Republicans like the Bushes who cave to them) Obama's a failure. It's been almost 4 years and he's still blaming Bush. He's got the White House and the Crats still got the Senate. Frankly, I think it's time the Crats started owning the bad economy that is not getting better under THEIR watch. But yeah, that'll never happen. We could have 1 GOP representative in all of congress and the Crats would blame him for the poor economy that would result from their choices. The Crats just like ignoring reality. They use any contrived excuse they can to blame the GOP for all of the things that they are failing to fix. (Even when the GOP is virtually powerless compared to them) America's just too blind to see how the Democrats are all finger-pointing and no solution. They'd rather try to insinuate that not liking Obama's policies results from racist motives rather than the fact that the guy is just a plain ole ineffective leader. The guy's a dud and it's got nothing to do with his name or heritage or skin color. He's just not that good a president cause he's chosen to be that way. The guy's ruined this economy more than Brian Frons ruined the ABC Daytime lineup. (And that's saying something)

And of course, going by personal life, we were oodles more prosperous when the GOP had all 3 houses. The economy was simply better. Obama's failed to do a dang thing for it and hopefully intelligent people are going to stop swallowing the "it's not my fault" excuse. It's been almost 4 years. Screw George Bush! I'm tired of hearing him being used as an excuse for this administration's failure to fix this. Frankly, hearing the president make excuses for why it's not his fault that things aren't better isn't making the poor economy seem better.

Clinton had us in the black and Bush took us straight into the red after that. I dont blame Obama for anything economy related. He is slowly (very slowly) pulling us out of the dungeon.

The repugs conveniently continue to ignore that Obama is dealing with the economy he was handed by his predecessor. Clinton was far from perfect but we had a budget surplus when he left office. Bush decimated that through what I will always believe was nothing more than childish revenge to get the man who tried to kill his "daddy".

LOL, and no facts of HOW Obama destroyed the economy. Empty rhetoric. It's expected.
