I used to ponder that but now I like to think the souls of my loved ones become less humanly judgmental and more angelically understanding once they pass away.

I agree with Sec. If you believe in ghosts then I would hope that once they pass on their spirits are more compassionate and less judgemental.

Sec, that is such an eloquent way of putting it. I feel the same way. I never gave all of this a lot of thought until I lost my mother. Now, I believe that she is there with us for moments, big and small, sans judgement.
