And how bad does it get?
With me, my allergies are all triggered by something in nature. First and foremost is the pollen on pine trees, as you may recall, every December when we get a Christmas tree we have to spray it down and wrap it in plastic and leave it outside in the cold for a week before we bring it in to decorate it. Second on the list is fire weed, and the third, and current bastard on the list, cotton wood trees that are in season and the cotton's flying so it looks like a winter in Colorado.
And my allergies all work the same way, might as well be the flu: sore throat, bad stomach, a week or two of coughing crap up (my mom says I always get it the worst, I think the only time a person makes more noise than when I'm doubled over coughing is when a woman gives birth with no drugs) and blowing my nose 200 times a day (every day this week I've opened a new box of aloe Puffs). I swear, there ought to be some ordinance that all cotton wood trees be cut down, and replaced with something more benign, it wouldn't matter much to me what it was, just so long as it didn't drop cotton every spring.
