    Are you comfortable talking to your doctor about more personal & intimate issues (embarrassing body issues, sexual, etc) ? I work at a clinic and sometimes the doctors will comment about the kind of things they discuss with patients and how getting them to open up can be like pulling teeth.

    I suppose young ppl might have a problem with such issues but after lots of life experience, especially working as a nursing assistant taking care of other ppl's intimate issues, it becomes rather matter-of-fact. I will discuss anything that needs discussing with my doctor.

    I mean after he or she has palpated my prostate, what could be more intimate or shitty than that?

    (For a guy. I'm sure the bi-manual pelvic exam is more intimate than that)     blank stare @ you

    I haven't had any potentially embarrassing personal issues that I've needed to address with my doctor, but if I did I would swallow my bashfulness and just lay it out so that it could be resolved.

    I have no problem with it because I don't see a doctor, and any personal issues I have are between me, and me.
