I usually drink right from the bottle. A can I will wash it down first then open it and pour it in a glass or use a straw.

IDK what the romance is with drinking from long-neck beer bottles but I prefer drinking beer from a glass or mug. I like my wine in a stemmed glass and never drink it out of the bottle.

only drink from bottles---
just read that a woman died from a bacteria in rat urine, she got from drinking from an unwashed can. because the cans sit in warehouses so long, the rat pee all over them and people get sick

I do it sometimes with cans of pop but never beer (those I just guzzle from the cold can).

Only if it's a 2 liter bottle do I bother with cups.

I usually only pour from a 2 liter bottle. Anything smaller and I'll drink from the can or bottle but I always wash the can before hand. Same for cans of tuna, etc. I always wash the can before I open it.
