Once in awhile I will babysit my younger nephews they are a lot of fun to watch and they love spending time with their uncle!

Some ppl trust me to watch their cats or dogs, but no one has asked me to watch their kid.

I don't babysit. Most of my friends and people that I socialize with in a regular basis don't have kids and if they do, they are older kids. So no, I am not the one to ask. The people who I know that do have kids that I might babysit don't even live in NY.

Most of my friends are men and if they have kids, their child's mothers probably handle setting up sitters and whatnot (and they probably ask their friends and family to do it.) I have one friend who has asked me twice to pick his son up from school, but that was it.

the only ones i have ever babysat were my sis' kids... they are in their 20s now and just starting to have children!!! so i guess aunt kir will have to bring back out my "fun aunt" role! lol

I get asked on occasion. I don't mind it a ton unless it becomes a habit. My son's uncle's girlfriend used to ask ALL THE TIME. Then she would not answer her cell and stay gone much longer. That pissed me off so bad.

When my kids have their friends over, I sit with them. But for the most part I'm not the go-to person for babysitting other peoples children. If I do I'd prefer it be family and take no more than an hour tops.
