OMG home alone??? never...i had 3 older sisters and 2 lived five houses in each direction on our dead end street.... i couldnt do anything alone... not as a kid, not as a teen.
but i did sleep late, stay up all night... and we usually went to disney world or busch gardens

Sometimes I would be home alone and I would watch TV all day. Most of the times I would be outside with my friends playing games or just hanging out.

In the 'burbs I would meet up with my friends and we would play.
Many summers I was sent off to my grandparents in rural Mississippi, where I could play with cousins on all the adjoining family farms.
That was a great experience, swinging on rattan 'monkey vines,' skinny dipping in streams and ponds, riding bikes over gravel roads and pastures, taking a shit in a field and wiping your ass with mullen leaves, kissing your second cousin in a hayloft, stealing your uncle's cigarettes and smoking them, drinking grandpa's home brew - and of course having dinner at any relatives house you happened to be visiting at the time with all the Southern country food.

Usually went away somewhere. Disney World. Poconos. Niagara Falls. Canada. After my folks split, we spent the summers with my father. Before they split, I would spend most of the summer with my grandmother in South Carolina. Me andy cousins always got into some shit.

A few summers I joined a local youth camp, we did numerous activities through the university. Other than that, chilled at home, went to friends/cousins houses, etc.

Spent the summers in Oscoda Michigan on Lake Huron--kind of like the Kid Rock song--Northern Michigan...

Summers were spent around the farm, where I had plenty of room to play and entertain myself. There were social events, and we always spent at least one week ~ usually two ~ in Santa Cruz, a coastal town. I still go there when I can.

We lived in the greatest city in the world and went to our vacation home in fuck hole Wisconsin.
