Moderate voters

Some accuse moderate voters of being idiots, while others may argue that they tend to exercise more discretion in their choosing. What's your opinion of moderate voters? And do you think that they will have a big effect on this years presidential election?

well.. depends on the political school that you believe in...

Left Moderate Right

in this school... with moderate in the middle... people believe that "democracy" is in the middle and the VERY far left and VERY far right are totalitarian govts... (communist/fascist).

Then there is anothe school that ...

Totalitarian govt democracy anarchy

this school believes that true democracy and freedom is just above anarchy... and then we progress more and more left with every controlling policy/law/social program until we become a totalitarian govt.

In either school.... the very far left/right leads to the same thing--- a controlling govt. so why would anyone want that???

They are exactly what they say they are. moderate. They can be a nuisance though, because they have the power to tip the vote one way or the other. You can only hope they choose the better way.

Moderates: People who hold views which offend both sides of the isle. big grin

Honestly, I think moderates are really just soft lefties who think they are more open-minded than they actually are. They got their beliefs and seem to stick to them just as much as either of the right/left voters. So they don't exercise any more discretion. lol That just seems like an idea moderates invented to make them seem less wishy-washy.
