    I am the odd man out, but I feel like social media and the innovative ways companies use it for marketing purposes will eventually lead to the beloved ad slots on Superbowl Sunday costing and meaning less.

    I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that Red but I think I have to disagree. All TV advertising is to generate revenue. How is Facebook going to make any money for the network that airs the Superbowl? Without those beloved ad slots, the Super Bowl (or whatever) isn't on TV. And if it isn't on TV it isn't going to happen in the first place.

    No. Superbowl is still the most watched event of the year. TV is not going away, therefore, advertising won't go away.
