Not at all. I use salt & pepper like they're a food group myself.

I add salt and pepper to food I cook so what's the big deal?

Nope. We both cook with a lot of spice but minimal salt. So we know that some people will want more salt and that's perfectly fine.

It used to bug me but only because I have literally never salted or peppered a plate of my food. It just is something I have never done. Now that I am older, I realize no matter how good food is, adding seasoning is a habit for a lot of people.

Isn't that why there are salt & pepper shakers on the table?
And, in some houses, hot sauce, ketchup and other condiments?

Not really, but if they're altering it too much with additional seasonings then I'll wonder if maybe I didn't add enough.

My husband is on a low carb, low sodium diet. He has diabetes and high blood pressure, both supposedly only gets obese people, and he is not obese. So I salt nothing as it is being cooked, so salt my food after it is cooked. I even make his bread because of all the sodium in one slice of bread.

Not really because I don't cook with a lot of salt. If they want to salt it up thats their business as long as its not in my dish.
