Haven't seen it in a long time. Most I remember is Rod Steiger's horrible overacting.

Lil Lucas Black! Even though I'd seen him in American Gothic (underrated show by the way), I didn't really notice him until after Sling Blade. And as he got older I just started watching all of his projects. Anyway I really liked this film. I liked all of the stories, like his aunt trying to make it in Hollywood despite what was going on in her life. No spoilers, just in case. And then the scene with the black kids and the pool. Interesting how that played out.
