I am so friggin over bears.
I used to think it was safe to walk home to my parents' house from the town bar (one mile). Now, I know I will never, ever, ever, ever walk home. I just won't go out.

ARRG! So let me tell you about a cute little fuzzy baby bear. My son worked one year for the forestry service, they were mopping up after forest fires were out. So fortunately when he started the job he was told he didn't have to do anything dangerous. So he was going along a dirt road putting out small embers left from a fire when he heard a huge thrashing in the brush. He went to his boss and told him about the thrashing so of course they all had to look. There lay a female bear dead apparently from a lightening strike. As they looked around they spotted a very small baby bear in a tree. Smaller than that cutie in the picture. His boss said to my son "got get that baby bear", My son refused he said "you want bear you go get bear", so his boss went to get the baby bear. As he reached for the cute baby it sliced his hand wide open and he nearly lost the hand. That was minor damage to what the mother could have done! The baby bear probably died, either of starvation or some male bear came along and killed it which was a shame but people who don't have a clue about what they are doing should leave well enough alone.
