| When it's hot out and you're driving, do you just put the windows down or turn on the air, or does it depend on how hot it is?
My brother and I are exact opposites. he HATES open windows for some reason, especially in the car, ALWAYS has to have them up even if it means the interior's going to be about 100 degrees because then he just turns on the AC. I like fresh air so until it gets near the point of that boiling heat that everything outside bubbles when you look at it, I just keep the windows down and let the air come into the car, it works just fine and doesn't require 10 minutes of blowing hot air out the vents first.

| depends, the open air sometimes dries up my contacts--- which is why i wont get a convertible... having my hair fly all over in my face is a distraction too. but it also depends on my travels.. if im speedin along a highway/freeway.. then ill crack the windows for air... if on slow roads, i'll AC LOL | |

| A/C is essential....but having it on too long begins to annoy me. I only let it run for about 5 minutes, before turning it off and rolling the windows back down. Plus it runs out gas. | |

| Most of the cars I drove in my youth did not have A/C. All of my VW bugs didn't. So I'm in the habit of just running with the windows down.
However, the most recent SUV's & vans I've been driving have A/C and I will use it sometimes. Still like running with the windows down when not too hot.

| I don't like riding with the windows down. I don't like air blowing in my face, and esp not hot air. I definitely turn the A/C on in my car. | |

Same here. The A/C in my car is ice, ice cold....you'll freeze if you leave it on too long. Then it gets too hot again, and I turn it back on.

| Our A/C never gets too cold, if it does we turn it down. The problem is if we are in and out of the car as we are on Saturdays doing the garage sales it takes too long for the AC to cool a hot car down, so we do both the windows and the AC. | |

| Usually if it's above 70-75 degrees, the windows are up and the a/c is turned on. | |
