| If you swim, does it have to get to a certain temperature before you dive in?
The public pool opened on Memorial Day and stays open until Labor Day, it's not even 70 degrees here today but I've seen kids coming back wrapped up in towels after going to the pool. This weather's a little chilly even for me, and that's saying something.

| Swim? As in beach, public pool? No way I will ever go swimming again, I look like a lumpy beached whale, no bathing suits for me. | |

| I go to the beach year round but never go into the ocean. (have a contract with the sharks and so far they have never come up on the beach to bother me)
Occasionally I have access to a pool and have been swimming in the winter when the air was in the 70s but the water was in the 40s from the overnite temps. What a shock that is - it takes your breath away.

I know about that, when I was 10 I jumped in a pool in April and that was freezing cold, and another time went swimming in October, likewise freezing.

| We talking air temp or water temp? Air...70's (as long as it's a sunny day). Water...as long as there isn't ice floating by. | |
