    scoops & spoilers
Previews for the week of 26-Jul-2010
    by Carol Banks Weber

    • Todd takes Tea, Dani and Nate to NYC to fulfill one of Tea’s fondest wishes before she dies. There, Tea revisits all the places in her childhood, including places that shamed her.

    • Tea allows her daughter Dani to see where she grew up and where she developed shameful prejudices against her father who was their apartment building super.

    • Tea must keep peace between Todd and Nate. It’s hard, but Todd behaves himself most of the time.

    • Tea cuts her NYC jaunt short to be there (and make Todd be there as a testifying witness) for Cole’s upcoming hearing.

    • Blair explains to Dorian why she said yes to marriage to Eli.

    • Blair also previews to Dorian a plan to spring herself on him in a specific location, oblivious to the fact that Eli told her an untruth about being in that location.

    • Eli curtails the advances Rex as a PI made for Kelly.

    • Eli puts Rex out of commission, while swapping out important docs regarding this Bennett Thompson.

    • Kelly comes across Rex and helps him wake up, assess the damage.

    • Rex and Kelly eagerly pick up a file at the front desk, but it is not what they need. They follow the file’s contents to the Hall of Records and come up with nada.

    • Eli prevents Hannah from sending out any SOS by telling her that Cole will pay if she continues misbehaving.

    • Hannah prevails upon Ford to assist her in the truth, when she rings him up.

    • Eli jumps in and derails Hannah’s call with Ford.

    • Eli insures, via Ford, that Hannah did not do much damage.

    • Already intuiting Eli’s guilt and double-identity as Bennett Thompson, John goes about proving this theory.

    • Kelly updates John on the Boston trip. She catches him checking up on Eli, to see if he was Bennett.

    • Blair tries to sort out why Eli wasn’t where he said he was going to be. He covers nicely, lying about hopping out to NYC for her engagement bling.

    • Sensing the long arm of the law closing in, Eli pushes Blair to run off to Vegas and become man and wife quickly. Not if Jack can help it.

    • Hannah keeps at Ford to rebel against Eli, triggering a near violent end.

    • Eli points a firearm Hannah’s way, to control her further.

    • Ford considers the results of tests he underwent to see if he contracted anything from Jessica. Langston observes him observing his test results.

    • Jessica tries to forget her doubts and fears when rejoicing with Brody about their baby on the way.

    • Kelly visits Jessica and sees their rejoicing. She pretends to be overjoyed at the baby news, as if hearing it for the first time—for Brody’s benefit.

    • Natalie broods over her pregnant predicament.

    • It doesn’t matter what Gigi says to help Natalie believe all is well. Natalie seriously begins considering ending this pregnancy to preserve everybody else’s happiness, in case it’s Brody’s not John’s.

    • Gigi cautions Natalie not to rush to an abortion just yet. Give it a couple of days.

    • Gigi follows up with Natalie on the abortion issue.

    • Jessica and Brody make Clint a happy man with the baby news.

    • Natalie can’t take the heat any more and flees. She goes no farther than John’s arms.

    • With enough prodding, John coaxes Natalie to begin to spill about her problem. Or does he?

    • Gigi is there for Natalie for the culmination of some long, hard nights’ brooding.

    • It’s because of Clint that Brody does the next good thing.

    • Brody does up his engagement proposal to Jessica in a most heartfelt, romantic manner.

    • Cole comes clean to Starr about nearly succumbing to Hannah’s temptress tricks.

    • Cole also shares his belief – that Hannah’s been fibbing all this time, covering for someone else in fact – with Starr.

    • The hearing judge fails to pressure Nora to throw the book at Cole. She figures on using any loophole.

    • Todd does a reversible when attending Cole’s hearing.

    • Todd informs Starr that Tea has brain cancer and will most assuredly perish soon. Hence, the rush to wed.

    • Jack tries to undo Blair and Eli’s wedding preparations.

    • Nate offers true contrition to Bo for causing everybody so much pain.

    • Inez suffers Ford’s cold dismissal of her as his mom. She flees in her car, driving erratically.

    • Bo must make an official stop of a swerving driver, Inez. She subsequently finds herself in full disclosure with him. This is when Bo learns her whole, sorry history as a mother who left her two young boys (Ford and James) high and dry.

    • Inez is at a loss about keeping a roof over her and her son Nate’s heads, now that the deadline for the last mortgage payment is way passed due.

    • Blair mediates Dorian and David’s incessant bickering.

    • Dorian and David refuse to see what’s right in front of their faces. Their love among the quips.

    • David plays a love game with Dorian by acting like he’s already spoken for.

    • Dorian returns the favor by dragging Clint in this love game as a pretend lover, to get David’s goat.

    • Clint won’t just whore himself to Dorian for free. He wins special mayoral privileges for his company, Buchanan Enterprises.

    • After a bit of wit and parry, Dorian and David consent to a double date.

    • Cristian remains by Layla’s side as she summons up strength she never thought she had to honor Evangeline’s wishes.

    • Next week: Tea’s health deteriorates faster than anyone expected, putting the wedding on hold… Explaining to Todd and Dani will be hard as hell for Tea. She’s talking mere weeks now… Kelly’s suspicion against Eli makes her think of Blair and the hell Blair will go through… Kelly outs Eli as the culprit to Blair… Eli makes Hannah swallow way too much of a medication… Cole tries to pull Hannah out from her overdose… Natalie finds herself between a rock and a hard place… Inez finds gainful employment, c/o Bo at the cop shop… Layla hasn’t a clue but she has the means to end Eli’s secret reign of terror… Eli next goes after Cristian… James thinks about Starr and the odds of winning her as his girlfriend.

Thanks Chris! Some good stuff and some not so good stuff coming. Someone really needs to disbar Nora and hold her accountable. She disgusts me!
