| I don't think I have. I became heated once when I was fighting for someone to keep her job, but I never raised my voice. | |

- Just this week I was having a disagreement with a director in another department. We were in my boss' office and it was mentioned that my voice had raised but the director was not my boss. I was really pissed and they knew it - so it got a pass. I did manage not to call the bitch a bitch, which helped.
Excellent self control, Shale!

| I work at the post office... raised voices is our normal level! LOL We used to have a deaf man on my crew of about 20 people. For whatever reason, I dont know if it was the pitch or vibrations or what... but he could hear this "BOOOP" sounds that we make. So to get his attention from far away, we would make sounds (the machines are VERY loud, and drown out our voices, but u can hear the loud high pitched sound).
We also have this one guy we call "Big Dog" --- he's like 6ft 5 and 400 pounds. Someone will scream "BIG DOG" and he starts barking loudly... then everyone starts "BOOOP"ing lol stupid yeah i know.. but makes the day go by. Then this one manager came by and told big dog, "ACT NORMAL--- or i'll walk you out". he said "this is normal" and we all starting screaming and BOOPING and barking... he'd have to fire the whole crew LOL

| Once, with my current boss back about 7 years ago. It was in a conference room, and while I wasn't screaming I was still loud enough that others outside the room could hear me. I was proud of that meeting. I held my ground and kinda' shocked her with my empowerment, and I won that round. | |

RIGHT ON!
That is how it was with me the other day. "Why are you raising your voice?" "Because you won't listen otherwise!"
