Making change or getting change?

If you use cash when you go to the store, do you give the cashier an even amount down to the cent, or do you just give them the cash and get the coins back?

My brother always makes the change, which at times takes longer than just getting it back, I always get the change back and save it up.

I like to get the coins back and save them up for a year then cash them in. You would be surprised how much you accumulate.

I know, that's how I get most of the $250 I spend every year on fireworks for the 4th of July. This year's been exceptionally lucky, I rolled up $200 after Christmas, and think I'll have $200 more to add to it.

About the only place I carry change is in my car so unless I'm going through a drive-thru, probably not. I'll give them $1 of it means getting back a 5 instead of 4 ones.

Enough to put some away for the next year, but I'll tell you it sure never looks like much because all the big things, the really impressive ones are always so expensive, like those great big 30 shot things, $50 a piece, or more, some of them are $100 or $200 each, and I'm sure they're a hell of a show, but that's about my whole budget so I can't afford those.

I give the exact change usually but I think I am going to start to save change. I would like to save it up for mad money while on vacation.

Depends on if I have it. I wouldn't break a dollar if I have the change.

I hardly have cash on me, but if I so happen to have the exact change on me, then I will give them exact change.

I'm meticulous. If the bill is 5.73 and I have a ten dollar bill, then I'll try to give them seventy-three cents with it so that they can give me back a five. I don't care for a bunch of loose change. It always ends up in my cup holders and other tiny spaces in my car.
