| If *you* cheated and your lover/spouse went out and cheated on you back, would you be less upset than if they did this to you without provocation?
Do you think one partner cheating makes the other retaliating the same way at all justifiable?

| Not justifiable but shouldn't be unexpected either. | |

This is true but just leaving makes more sense.

| Tit for tat does not make a relationship work. | |

| I can't even relate to this. If my partner or I wanted to have sex with another person, it would be no big deal (Yeah, my partner has to understand that upfront before we become partners). Sex is sex, not necessarily a relationship or some deep commitment. It is about as significant to me as not eating supper at home but going out for some fast food somewhere else. | |

| Two wrongs don't make a right. But three rights make a left. But what CeCe said. | |

Probably.
Do you think one partner cheating makes the other retaliating the same way at all justifiable? No.

| I think I would be more upset because in my mind he'd just be doing it to get back at me out of spite or as an excuse and I would find that annoying, especially since the idea would be that I couldn't be mad. | |

| honestly, if i cheated... then i didnt want him anymore. so him cheating on me to retaliate would not get the result he would desire.
However, if i did it, then i would expect it back. I wouldnt be able to understand the hurt and betrayal of trust unless i felt it first hand the way he did.
