Have you ever hated where you lived so much that you dreamed about/plotted your escape from it?

Very much as a kid because there was never anything to do around here. First of all this is a retirement community, so little for kids to do in the first place, second, we were about the only homeschooling family so there were no programs for us, no groups of likewise families who did field trips and stuff like 'normal' kids did, and also because most kids who ever did move onto the block always moved away after a few months and we were about the only ones who always stayed.

Sometimes I get disgusted, especially with the neighbors I have next door, I don't plan on staying here forever.

I don't necessarily hate where I live--I'm just bored with it, feel like I've overstayed my welcome, and that I need a change of scenery. Once my daughter is off to college and someday when my Grandmother is gone, there will be nothing holding me to this area, and hopefully I can convince the husband to bail with me, or I may just bail on my own.
