Your legacy in death

I am aware this not the nicest of things to discuss, and if you feel you cannot or that it will upset you I urge you not to take part and to please leave this thread.

There are a few things in life you can guarantee: you can't please everyone, politicians will always look out for their own best interests over a countries and we will all sadly, some day, die.

Death, whether we like it or not, is part of life, it just is. I don't wish this to be a somber thread but a celebration of everyone's lives. If you knew the date of your death and could gather all the people closest to you, pick out how you wished to be buried and where, what music you would choose and even create your own eulogy for someone to read out how would it go? What would you want to say? How would you want people to remember you? Would you wish to even have a formal service?

I'd want people to laugh and have a good time. Find a funeral home with an open bar. Tell funny stories about me..."remember that time Alan almost got hit by that truck, that look on his face?" I DO NOT want it to be like the only Italian funeral (sorry Tony) I ever attended where the widow and the deceased's sisters were having a competion over who could mourn the loudest.

LOL Uncle I suppose some of them can be that way, my father's funeral was like a family reunion people laughing and getting re-aquainted, it was actually very light.

I don't even know about all of that. Yes, I would want a funeral....I have insurance and I told my parents to bury me....preferably in the wall and not in the ground. Who attends, what they would say, what kind of casket, etc, etc....I have no idea and it's whatever. Just play Bob Marley throughout the service.
